A 52 Year Tradition Press Release
(September 2025)
We’ve dug up something new for you this year, but we still adhere to the old ways ...
The NEWBURGH CIVITAN ZOMBIE FARM isn’t just a haunted house. It’s a tradition. With more than 50 years of bringing terror to the tristate, we know how to scare you.
Do you wanna know how we do it?
Well, when you're alone out in the darkness, we could be lurking just ahead, behind a corner in the new outdoor maze.
Or we might be that noise behind you in a claustrophobic hallway, just a breath away.
Or maybe we’re above you, watching – we’ve been known to do that ... and what is that thing crawling at you, drooling and gibbering and full of monstrous glee?
Perhaps one of us is standing in the shadows, hand on the chainsaw, ready to let her rip. You might not see us, but we’re there.
We’re always there.
Then we wait, and wait, and when you’re about to turn that corner, or when you’ve just passed by, we STRIKE.
Can you feel that hand reaching out for you from behind?
Will you have time even to scream when the saw roars to life?
Yeah, that’s how we do it.
You’ll see a bunch of new sights this year at the ZOMBIE FARM. All-new scenes, a scary new
maze to get lost in (perhaps forever) and a horde of vicious villains, varmits, beasties, blood-sucking freaks and fiends.
Yes, there’s plenty to see ... but we’re not gonna try to wow you with the latest gadget from“Spirit Halloween.”
Oh no: We’re strong believers in tradition, and the spirit of the old ways.
We believe the best scares are the ones that are up close and personal, and packaged with the kind of love that can only be expressed with a rusted machete or axe.
Or a chainsaw.
Or a bear trap.
Or a really long gas-powered hedge trimmer.
The ZOMBIE FARM opens Friday, September 26, and runs Thursdays through Sundays through November 1.
Scare hours are 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursdays and Sundays, and 7 p.m. to midnight Fridays and Saturdays.
Guided “No-Scare” tours are from 5:30 p.m. to 6:45 p.m.
Tickets are $5 for “No-Scare” tours and $15 for the full scare.
So come on down and see us.
It’s not Halloween Season without us.
